Amitabh Bachchan surprised everyone by attending the promotional event for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. He has avoided such events and interviews for a while, especially after Covid, limiting his public appearances. However, he showed up with the energy of a young man, delighting fans.
Bachchan revealed on his blog that he attended the event out of respect for the humble production team, especially since it’s run by the daughters of the head. He mentioned it was more than just a personal choice. He also expressed delight in being part of the director’s extraordinary vision.
At the event, Bachchan shared photos posing with the team, including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and the producers. He even playfully competed with Prabhas to escort a pregnant Deepika, who laughed at their antics. Later, Bachchan helped her on stage, showing his gentlemanly side.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is set to release on June 27. The film is a futuristic take on the Mahabharata. During the event, Rana Daggubati jokingly asked Deepika if she was still in character as a pregnant woman, to which she replied with a laugh, “Clearly!”
